Let’s start with a mini lesson on frizz. It may surprise you to know that frizz is actually caused when your hair is dry and lacks moisture. Why? Because when your hair is dry the cuticle is rough.

So when the weather is humid, it’s the perfect recipe for frizz. The outer layer of the hair takes in the moisture from the air, causing the hair to swell and frizz. (Source HuffPost)

Think of your hair strand like a feather, when you pull it down in the correct direction it’s perfect and smooth. Pull it up in the wrong direction and it becomes a rough, fluffy and an ugly mess.
